From his victories at majors alone, Djokovic picked up $2,975,000 in Melbourne, €2,300,000 in Paris, and $3,000,000 in New York.
Sabalenka highest-earning woman, behind Alcaraz and Medvedev
Second on the list is Wimbledon champion Alcaraz, who has earned $9.6 million this year. The 20-year-old picked up $3 million of that from his victory at Wimbledon and surpassed $20 million in overall career prize money earnings earlier this year.
Following this is World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev with $7.83 million. He earned $1.5 million for finishing as runner-up at the US Open. This came after he received $1,262,220 for his victory at the Miami Open and €1,105,265 for winning the Rome Open - both of which are
ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
In fourth place is the first woman on the list, World No. 1 Sabalenka with $7.55 million. The Belarusian earned $2,975,000 for her victory at the Australian Open in January and picked up $1.5 million for her runner-up finish at Flushing Meadows.
Four-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek rounds out the Top 5 with $6.78 million. The Polish player secured €2,300,000 after she successfully defended her French Open title in May, and she earned another $1,324,000 for winning the
WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing two weeks ago.
Sixth on the list is US Open champion Gauff with $5.98 million, while Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova sits in eleventh place with $4.28 million.
Overall, 51 ATP players earned over $1 million in prize money this year, while 40 WTA players reached the same threshold, thus indicating the pay gap between the ATP and WTA Tours.
