Paige Lorenze, Tommy Paul's girlfriend, has spoken about the increasingly recognised role of players’ girlfriends in the tennis world. The entrepreneur and influencer shared her perspective on wanting to be more than just a ‘WAG.’
Lorenze began dating the current world No. 11 in 2022 and frequently accompanies him to tournaments worldwide. Her presence on social media has not only highlighted her role in the fashion industry but also given insights into life on the road with her tennis-playing boyfriend.
She is not the only tennis girlfriend using social media to bring fans closer to the behind-the-scenes world of the Tour. Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle; Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield; Nick Kyrgios’ girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi; and Daria Kasatkina’s girlfriend, Natalia Zabiiako, have all given glimpses into the lives of tennis partners.
"I am so happy about the evolution because we are much more than just ‘women on the sidelines,’" she said in a recent interview with Forbes. "The WAGs I’m close with are ambitious, hardworking and deeply supportive, not only of their partners, but also of each other," Paul’s girlfriend added.
"While tennis can appear glamorous, the reality is that it requires immense personal and professional sacrifice, much of which goes unseen," the 26-year-old entrepreneur continued. "I hope to see a continued evolution of the WAG in 2025, as 2024 was a pivotal year for us all, especially when it came to the bridge between fashion and sport."
