Russia’s young tennis sensation Mirra Andreeva has revealed that she has already thought about what kind of Porsche she would like to get after winning the ongoing Stuttgart Open. The WTA 500 event is already underway, and some of the best players are participating to secure the ultimate prize.
Last year, the title was won by one-time Grand Slam winner Elena Rybakina after beating Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2. After winning the competition, she won a Porsche car as well, as the tournament is sponsored by the famous automobile manufacturer in Germany. However, this year, there is bound to be a new champion, as Rybakina has withdrawn from the competition.
One of the players who are being tipped as one of the favourites to go all the way in Mirra, who is already regarded as one for the future after producing some incredible performances in the recent past. The 19-year-old has recently been quoted in a report by English media outlet Daily Express, where she stated that she has already thought about the kind of Porsche she would like to get if she goes on to lift the title. “The view on the centre court is super nice. I already thought about which cars I would like to get,” she smiled. “But we're not there yet. I'm just looking around. I still don't have my driver's license. Yeah, we're going to see. We're going to decide if I get to the final.”
The 17-year-old will face a tricky opponent in the first round, her sister Erika. She also talked about that and stated that she will try to handle the pressure of playing her sister ‘professionally’. “We're going to take it professionally because we don't have any other choice,” she said. “If it's going to be like this, then we're just going to go on court and play as any other match. We're going to face each other, and if it happens, probably it's going to be a great and entertaining match.”
