Ashleigh Barty continues to inspire people even a year after her retirement with
Caroline Garcia publicly thanking her and praising her for her book.
Ashleigh Barty did not have a long tennis career but she had a really fruitful one. She finished the last three years of her career as number one, won a couple of grand slams including Wimbledon and retired as the world number one. It doesn't get much better than that and she explained in detail how it all came to be in her autobiography which was published in November of last year.
Caroline Garcia took to Twitter to praise Barty and thank her for inspiring her through the book. She also noted that she missed her around the Tour which is something many admitted as well:
"Thank you @ashbarty
for sharing your tennis life. Being so honest and open about the
struggles and great successes you went through. An inspiration. Miss to
see you around mate."
