Emma Raducanu isn't worried about the constant criticism she is receiving as the Brit wants to focus on tennis and let people talk.
Raducanu is proving this week that she didn't forget how to play tennis as she demonstrated brutal form in her first two matches here. Despite that, the Brit is still getting criticism but she is learning not to pay attention to it:
"I think I've realised in the last year that people are going to talk regardless of what you do. Things that I do are maybe more amplified because of my situation. But I've just learned to zone in internally."
Expanding further on that point Raducanu admitted that she's not showing any emotions by design because she doesn't want to get too high or too low:
"I didn't really show any emotion [in her two matches in the tournament], I didn't let myself get high or low, I was just one level and I think that helped. I was playing a great match for sure. I had to stay focussed throughout and I was really pleased with how I dug in."
The Brit will face Jessica Pegula for a spot in the quarterfinal today.
