Following her retirement from tennis, WTA great
Serena Williams is appreciating Paris from a different perspective as she paid a visit to the city during the
Roland Garros (French Open) fortnight.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to social media to share some footage of her visit, alongside her family. Williams stated Paris as being one of her favorite places to visit, especially during while the second Grand Slam of the season was underway.
"Paris, France. One of my favorite places to visit. Also, one of my favorite stops on tour at the
French Open,” she narrated in her latest video.
Furthermore, the former World No.1 stated she enjoyed doing things with her daughter Olympia while in the city, including singing Katy Perry’s Roar during their carousel ride and dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
"So many great memories – even with Olympia, although she came a lot later,” added Williams. "For the first time, I had an opportunity to do things and see things that I could never really do with my daughter because I’m usually at Roland Garros."
