Bianca Andreescu is a big fan of
Novak Djokovic and the Canadian was inspired by several things she saw him doing.
Andreescu has become a huge advocate for mental health after experiencing issues with her own mental health in the past. She became fully aware of the importance of that part of a person's life and how deeply it can affect everything.
One of her role models in that regard is Novak Djokovic who often times speaks about his commitment to his own mental health. Djokovic practices mediation and is known to meditate for up to an hour in silence to fully get in tune with his body.
The Serbian spoke about it often in interviews and with a track record of tremendous mental fortitude demonstrated many times over on the court, who can doubt it. Andreescu certainly does it and she would like to work with him and exchange ideas:
"I definitely think that the men’s side should have an initiative like that as well. I know that Novak Djokovic talks a lot about mental health. I have listened to a lot of his interviews. I have spoken to him a little bit but not specifically about mental health. Hopefully, I can talk to him more about it. We can bounce ideas off of each other and maybe start something, it will be cool."
