The WTA Rankings have been updated for another week with Jessica Pegula the main beneficiary moving up to World No.3 and will likely challenge Iga Swiatek in short order very soon.

Pegula has dethroned Coco Gauff as World No.3 as well as the current American Number One and has little to no points to defend until at least Berlin on the grass in two months time. She plans to play Billie Jean King Cup and Stuttgart with the latter gleaming ranking points so could yet have more success.

But she has added 305 points to her tally to equal her career best ranking. Madison Keys also gained points to head towards 5,000 despite losing early on. Aryna Sabalenka also begins a 33rd week as World No.1.

She is one week away from Angelique Kerber and the top 15 all time. Next after her is Amelie Mauresmo with 39 before a big leap to 51 for Victoria Azarenka. For comparison, Iga Swiatek is currently on 125 and is seventh all time.

Going down the rankings, the big fallers this week were Danielle Collins who failed to defend Charleston. It was always going to be a hard act to follow after her incredible 2024. She goes down ten spots to 32nd. Jaqueline Cristian falls nine spots to 66th.

Maria Sakkari though is the big one. She clapped back at the notion she won't return to the top 10 but given current evidence it will be a while until she is given her current ranking. After not being able to defend Indian Wells and Miami points, she has nosedived down 18 spots just this week alone. She is down to 82nd in the rankings.

On a more positive note though, Sofia Kenin after her run to the final is up 10 spots to World No.34. Other changes include Karolina Muchova and Diana Shnaider shifting up. The former didn't play this week and Shnaider lost early in Charleston continuing her abject form.

But Daria Kasatkina couldn't defend her Charleston points so drops two spots to World No.14. Ekaterina Alexandrova is up four spots to World No.22. Anna Kalinskaya also showed signs of life this week and is up two to 31st.

Emma Raducanu even went up a spot this week to World No.47. Albeit most of these changes are in line with players dropping. Camila Osorio also in defending Bogota is up to 53rd.
