Carlos Alcaraz will return to number one if he wins the 2023
Indian Wells later today as he will try and snap Medvedev's 19-win streak in the Indian Wells final.
Alcaraz hasn't been number one since the Australian Open when Novak Djokovic returned to the top spot. We could see another change after tonight as Alcaraz has a chance to return to the number one spot. All he needs to do is beat Medvedev in the final of the ATP 1000 event so nothing special.
It's only been like 19 matches and four events since Medvedev left the court first. It happened on January 20th at the Australian Open when Korda defeated him, so two months ago. Their only clash so far was won by Medvedev though it was on Alcaraz's weakest surface - grass; two years ago. Midnight CET will mark the start of the match so don't miss out.
A report will await you here swiftly if you somehow do.
