"It's a pity that when Carlos won US Open, he didn't have to face one": Medvedev wishes for more Alcaraz v Djokovic or Nadal clashes

Daniil Medvedev enjoyed watching Alcaraz play against Djokovic and Nadal at the Madrid Open and he'd like to see it again calling it unfortunate he didn't do that during his US Open run.

Alcaraz did some amazing things in Madrid last year when he defeated Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back and Daniil Medvedev carefully observed. The Russian was amazed by the level shown he wants to see more of those matches because they were quite entertaining. Medvedev watches many matches because he enjoys watching the sport:

"Djokovic is there. Before Sascha's injury, it was amazing to watch the Olympic games and the US Open. But there are so many good match-ups, what else can I choose? I just like to watch tennis, what did I watch the other day? I watched Alcaraz-Kokkinakis, it was a great match in my opinion, you know."

On Alcaraz, Medvedev added:

"So I think that could be great and it's a pity that when Carlos won the US Open, he didn't have to face one of them because I think this could be amazing to watch," he added.

Medvedev and Alcaraz will fight for the Indian Wells trophy in a few hours.
