World No.2, Carlos Alcaraz has returned to action on a surface which he admits himself he is not a massive fan of and that showed at times against Frenchman, Arthur Rinderknech at Queen's Club Championships 4-6, 7-5, 7-6.

Alcaraz had to adapt on the fly with Arthur FIls withdrawing this morning meaning that he had a new opponent with a completely different game style.

This of course did not compound his fears about returning to the surface which he said only Nick Kyrgios has a chance to beat Novak Djokovic on.

But it was a successful win for the Spaniard. This coming from a break down in the decider before he eased through the tiebreak.

A test in two hours, 35 minutes for the top seed who next faces Jiri Lehecka on Tuesday on his debut at the Queen's Club, a well known warmup for Wimbledon.
