Cruz Hewitt has had an interesting few days with the son of great Lleyton Hewitt losing out in the opening round of Australian Open with controversy prior to that with Nick Kyrgios.

But it was a practice with Carlos Alcaraz next on his agenda as he shared a picture with the Spaniard who will look to seal his first Australian Open over the next fortnight.

The controversy involving Nick Kyrgios saw Hewitt train with Jannik Sinner who the Aussie has been a vocal critic of. He left a litter of abuse aimed at Sinner and also making comments about his relationship with Cruz which he then said was a joke.

He practiced with Sinner prior to losing in his qualifying opener albeit to Nikoloz Basilashvili who played superbly throughout and was a horror draw as such.

But this time no doubt there won't be any hate comments from Kyrgios as he shared a picture of them together and Alcaraz replied saying 'Grande (Big) Cruz' with a fire emoji.

Alcaraz will play on Manic Monday as it should be dubbed which sees Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Kyrgios, Tsitsipas, Gauff, Pegula and Swiatek all play on one day. How they will decipher Court Arrangements is another matter but Alcaraz will be ready after practicing with the son of the legendary Lleyton.
