Novak Djokovic is through to the semi-finals at the Western & Southern Open after easing past Jan-Lennard Struff in a 6-3, 6-1 victory in just over an hour.

Djokovic ever since his first victory of the week over Ricardas Berankis has got better and better and the way he breezed past Struff - who has been one of the best players this week showed him to be a class apart.
He improves his record to 21-0 in matches and 49-6 in sets this year as he looks like the man to beat once more in the ATP restart. Statistics wise in victory, he hit five aces. He claimed points on 73% and 60% of his 1st and 2nd serve and converted 5/9 of break point opportunities.
Struff could barely get a foothold in the tie and this showed with Djokovic's max winning streak in terms of games being six while the German's was only one.
The second set in particular was impressive and after one break of serve in the opener; three breaks of serve in a row were claimed in the second and despite Djokovic fluffing his lines allowing Struff a break at 5-0. This merely prolonged the match with a quick game and first match point seeing the World Number One through.
His next opponent is Roberto Bautista Agut who had a very difficult assignment in facing Daniil Medvedev but made a superb comeback. He came from 1-6, 3-4 down and a break down in the third as well to see off the defending champion 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 in an exceptional display. Could the Spaniard topple the favourite for the title?
