The Australian Open announced that Novak Djokovic, who got a decisive hearing on Sunday, will need to play his first round on Monday if he wins another legal battle and is allowed to play the tournament.
Things keep getting complicated for Novak Djokovic who got his visa cancelled earlier today. Djokovic and his legal team have already appealed the decision and a decisive hearing is scheduled for Sunday. Should Djokovic win that court battle he will be permitted to stay in Australia and compete at the Australian Open but it would be a very short turnaround.
The Australian Open announced that the top halves of the draw would be played on Monday meaning that Djokovic would play against Kecmanovic on Monday. The Serbian will be held in detention until the court issues are resolved so he won't be able to practice. He won't return to the hotel where he spent time so far but will be placed in more suited accommodation.
