Hanfmann survives opener at Madrid Open, set to face Musetti next

The opponent of Italian ace, Lorenzo Musetti is confirmed for the second round at the 2023 Madrid Open with German ace, Yannick Hanfmann seeing off Juan Pablo Varillas.
Sealing an early break in the decider, he claimed it 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 after sealing his spot in the Main Draw through Qualifying.
He has quietly had a good start to the clay court season losing in the semi-finals in Houston, followed by a second round loss albeit to eventual champion Holger Rune in Munich.
A player to potentially watch going forward this clay court season.
