Britain’s
Jack Draper has been named the global brand
ambassador of the luxury fashion brand Burberry. The 23-year-old is often regarded
as one of the talented players currently playing in men’s tennis in the singles
category.
Draper has put some impressive performances in the recent
past. Those performances have not gone unnoticed as he has now been named the
global brand of the British luxury fashion brand which was established back in
1856.
“Introducing our new brand ambassador, British No.1 tennis
player Jack Draper His drive, dedication and optimism, on and off the tennis
court, make him a perfect match for Burberry,” was the caption of the post of
the brand on its official page on the social media platform Instagram.
Draper has been quoted in a report by
Tennis.com, where he
stated that it was an ‘honour’ for him to be able to represent the luxury brand
as an ambassador at the global level. “Being able to represent Burberry as a
brand ambassador is a real honor for me,” said Draper. “I have admired the
brand since I was a kid — it’s an iconic house and represents classic British
style."
Draper recently registered the biggest win of his career as
he lifted the ATP 1000 Indian Wells title after beating Denmark’s Holger Rune
in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2. Talking after the
match, Draper stated that he remains ‘very ambitious’ and that he has no intention
of stopping any time soon.
“[I'm] not really thinking about any outcomes, ranking-wise
or events-wise. I feel like I have achieved a lot in the last year, and it's
been nothing to do with setting goals,” said Draper while speaking to
ATP's official website. “Setting goals and saying
you're going to do something, it's important to believe it, but if you're not
putting in the work and putting in the sacrifice and the days of consistency
together, then you're not going to achieve anything. Me and my coach, we try waking up each day and approaching
practice, approaching everything I do in a very structured way and a very
consistent way so that I don't have many bad days. So when I do maybe have a
bad day, my level is still very high. So obviously I want to be a great player,
and I want to achieve amazing things in this sport, but my main goal is keep on
improving and keep on knuckling down."
