Winning Indian Wells and the Miami Open is a dream for every tennis player, falling just short of capturing a Grand Slam title. Although established veterans often end up as the last man standing at each event, the 2025 season saw two rising stars take home the silverware.
British star Jack Draper prevailed at the Indian Wells Masters event, defeating Dane Holger Rune in the final. The London native would lose to Czech youngster Jakub Mensik in the first round of the Miami Open, with Mensik eventually reaching the final where he upset former World No.1 Novak Djokovic to win his maiden ATP Masters 1000 title.
At just 23 and 19 years respectively, Draper and Mensik joined the list of youngest winners of the 'Sunshine Double'. At a combined age of 42 years and 271 days, the electric pair sit at fifth place on the list of the youngest Sunshine Double winners in ATP history.
Novak Djokovic, who fell to Mensik in the Miami Open final, is no stranger to being a young champion at the Sunshine Double. During the 2007 season, the Serbian lifted the Miami Open trophy, alongside rival Rafael Nadal who won at Indian Wells. The legendary duo sit in second place on the list, with a combined age of 40 years and 211 days.
