Rafael Nadal is one of the nicest guys on the tour and Swiatek thanked him for spending some time with her ahead of the match.
It was a very fruitful week for both
Iga Swiatek and Rafael Nadal as the duo became Internazionali BNL d'Italia Champions on Sunday. The Polish player completely dominated Karolina Pliskova serving her a double bagel in just 48 minutes of play. The victory gave Swiatek her first WTA 1000 Masters trophy and propelled her into the top 10 for the first time.
She is now ranked number 9 which is a new career high. Nadal also enjoyed a great week in Rome winning his 10th Rome Masters trophy after a great win over Djokovic. But before his match, he took time out of his warm-up to spend some time with Iga Swiatek.
The Polish player posted a photo of them on social media thanking him for spending some time with her and joking that he showed off his quads in the photo. The full caption reads:

It's a nice gesture from one champion to another even though Nadal was not yet the champion at that time. He would however become it a few hours later and for a record-setting 10th time.
