Rafael Nadal academy has been hit by severe flooding. The
academy was built by the former world number one to train kids in his Manacor.
As per the latest report, the facility was hit by severe flooding. The area was
hit by torrential rain because of DANA (Isolated High-Level Depression). The rare
weather phenomenon occurs when hot winds combine with cold winds.
Despite the weather condition, the official account of the
academy shared a message stated that everyone was safe. "Thank you all
very much for your messages of love after the huge 🌨️

The Rafael Nadal Academy was established back in 2016. Nadal’s
uncle, Toni Nadal, is the director of the facility. Another director is former
Spanish player Carlos Moya. Few of the most notable players who have come out
of the academy features three-time Grand Slam runner-up Casper Ruud and Spain’s
Jaume Munar.
Nadal, who is regarded as one of the greatest players in the
history of men’s tennis in the singles category in the Open era, having won as
many as 22 Grand Slam titles, has recently announced that he will retire from professional
tennis after the end of the Davis Cup. The former world number, who is also
known as the ‘King of Clay’ because of winning the French Open for a record
number of times (14), has struggled with fitness concerns in the recent past.
It is because of this reason Nadal has now missed six out of the last eight Grand
Slams. This year, his only appearance in a major tournament came at the Roland
Garros where he was knocked out after losing in the first round.
