John McEnroe spoke about Team World's 4th consecutive
Laver Cup defeat and he thanked everybody including Federer for whom he had high praise.
John McEnroe and Team World failed to dethrone Team Europe as the Laver Cup champions for the 3rd consecutive year as the European Team won the competition for a record 4th win. McEnroe wasn't thrilled by the defeat saying his team would come back stronger in 2022 but the American also thanked everybody who made this happen including
Roger Federer saying:
“I just wanna thank these three people – first of all, the fact that Roger Federer came, amazing, absolutely unbelievable. Roger, total class act."
At the press conference, McEnroe also said that nobody beats John McEnroe 5 times in a row at Laver Cup signalling his deep desire to win the trophy for the World with his chance coming at the 2022 edition in London. Europe will be on home soil but Team World should come back with a stronger squad and it should be a lot more competitive.
