The tournament is played between teams from Europe (Team Europe) and the rest of the world. Team World will attempt to defend their title after winning the Laver Cup for the first time last year.
The 2022 Laver Cup was the fifth edition of the Laver Cup. It was held on an indoor hard court at The O2 Arena in London, England from September 23 until September 25, 2022. The event was comprised of five sessions played over three days.
This tournament marked the retirement of 20-time singles major champion and former singles world No. 1, Roger Federer. The former champion alongside longtime rival Rafael Nadal was narrowly defeated in the third-set super tiebreak against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. Team World won the title for the first time.
Some of the players in Team Europe 2022 were Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Casper Ruud. Team World played with Félix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, John Isner and Jack Sock.
The total prize money for the 2022 Laver Cup was set at $2,250,000 for all 12 participating players. Each winning team member pocketed $250,000, the same amount as in the 2021 Laver Cup. Each losing team member received $125,000.
The captains for Team Europe and Team World are Björn Borg and John McEnroe, respectively.
Some of the players confirmed for Team Europe in the 2023 edition are Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, and Holger Rune. For Team World, some of the confirmed players are Félix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Nick Kyrgios.

The 2023 Laver Cup will take place from September 22-24, 2023 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
Entry List (Team Europe & Team World)
Team World won the 2023 Laver Cup, securing their victory for the second consecutive year. They defeated Team Europe with a dominant score of 13-2. The victory was clinched by the American duo of Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe, who won their doubles match against Hubert Hurkacz and Andrey Rublev. This win marked a significant achievement for Team World, led by captain John McEnroe, as they had struggled in the early years of the competition but have now turned the tide with back-to-back victories.
