America’s
Frances Tiafoe has opened up about meeting with
Taylor Swift. The 27-year-old has been a big fan of the famous singer and finally
met her at the Kansas City Chiefs. The development was shared on the social media
platform Instagram.
Tiafoe has been recently quoted in a report by Tennis.com, in which he stated his excitement about meeting his favourite singer. He stated that
he appreciated the greatness. "We go into this suite, and the first person
we see in this suite is Taylor," he recalled. "I'm like, 'Try to act
like you've been here before. I appreciate greatness so much, and seeing how
cool she was, she's got my ultimate respect.”
"She was very knowledgeable about what I was doing. She
was like, 'Man, we wanted to watch you play in the final at the \[US\] Open,'
and ... 'Trav loves you,' and this and that. We were drinking all day together.
She was so cool. One of the most humble people for who she is. ... She's
amazing, and hopefully, we can do that again."
Tiafoe has had a tough beginning to his 2025 campaign. He
featured in the Brisbane International where he lost to France’s Giovanni Mpetshi
Perricard in the second round in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 7-6. Tiafoe
then lost in the second round of the Australian Open to Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan
in a five-set thriller with a score of 6-7, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. After that, the
Maryland-born star was featured in the Dallas Open, where he suffered a defeat in the second round against Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Tiafoe
