Tiafoe defeated Jason Kubler in the BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells 6-3, 6-2.
Kubler made his Indian Wells debut with a victory over Italian Lorenzo Sonego
and advanced to the second round after Grigor Dimitrov retired when they were
playing the third set. On the other hand,
Frances Tiafoe received a bye in the
first round.
Tiafoe shows
his best tennis and easily defeated his compatriot Marcos Giron 6-3, 6-2. The
American continued to show the level that made him a top-15 player and easily
defeated his Australian opponent 6-3, 6-2. Big-foe hit 74% of his first serves
and did not concede any breaks in the match, in addition to hitting 9 aces and
only one double fault.
Now he
awaits the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson and Chilean
Alejandro Tabilo.
