America’s
Ben Shelton recreated a viral video on the social
media platform. The 22-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the most
talented players currently playing in men’s tennis in the singles category, currently
taking part in the
Monte-Carlo Masters, uploaded a video on his official account
on the social media platform for a bit of humour.
He recreated a video originally posted by Florida-based
finess influencer Ashton Hall which has already generated more than 1 billion
views on the social media. "I'm telling you bro ... write this down: go to
sleep 8 p.m., wake up 3 a.m., ice water on the face. That's it. Success,"
Shelton said.
Shelton participated in two categories at the ongoing event.
His journey in the singles category ended in the first round as he lost to Alejandro
Davidovich Fokina of Spain with a score of 6-7, 6-2, 6-1. However, in the
doubles category, he is still very much alive as he and his partner Rohan Bopanna
defeated the pair of Italy’s Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori with a score
of 2-6, 7-6, 10-7.
Despite his good performance in the doubles category, his performances in the singles category must be a big concern for America’s young tennis stars. Before coming to Monaco, Shelton lost in the first round of
the Miami Open to Coleman Wong with a score of 7-6, 2-6, 7-6. Before that, he
was knocked out in the second round of the Dallas Open after losing to Spain’s
Jaume Munar in straight sets. Later, he crashed out of the Mexican Open after
losing to Belgium’s David Goffin, once again in straight sets.
