There was a brief yet unexpected pause during Monday afternoon's match between Yunchaokete Bu and Lorenzo Musetti at the Monte Carlo Masters. As the chair umpire delayed play to allow two late-arriving spectators to take their seats—an unwritten courtesy in the tennis world—those in attendance were surprised to see who they were: Tadej Pogacar and Urska Zigart.

Just 24 hours earlier, Pogacar had claimed victory at the Tour of Flanders. By Monday, he had already returned to Monaco, seamlessly shifting from the cycling spotlight back to his day-to-day routine as he builds toward Paris-Roubaix.

The Slovenian likely didn’t anticipate boos or a moment on the tournament’s TV broadcast, but his late arrival and the subsequent interruption prompted a subtle reprimand from the chair umpire, who made it clear that play was paused for the pair’s entrance."

I saw Pogačar at a certain point in the match. He is an example of struggle and effort," Musetti later told Sky Sports. "Maybe he gave me an extra push to come back. He arrived when I managed to break in the second set. Maybe some credit goes to him too."
