The star-studded lineup of the teams for the upcoming 2023
Laver Cup has been announced, featuring some of the best players on the planet.
The competition is played between two teams comprising Team
Europe and Team World. Just like every year, both teams will have a host of superstars
representing them in the tournament.
The world number seven Greece’s
Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denmark’s
Holger Rune, three-time Grand Slam finalist Norway’s
Casper Ruud, Russia’s Andrey
Rublev, Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz and France’s Gael Monfils will represent the
European team.
On the other hand, America’s Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy
Paul, Ben Shelton, Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo and Felix Auger Aliassime will
represent the Team World.
The tournament will be played from September 22 to 24 in Vancouver,
Canada.
The competition started back in 2017 when Team Europe ended
up beating Team World with a score of 15-9.
The results were similar in the 2018, 2019 and 2021
editions where Team Europe continued to dominate.
Last year was a special event where Team World finally
managed to get the better of Team Europe as they emerged victorious with a score
of 13-8.
