America’s Emma Navarro has revealed the gifts she is going to give two fellow tennis players for the upcoming Christman. The centuries-old religious festival is celebrated on December 25 every year where billions give presents to one another.

America’s Navarro has recently featured in a video posted by the Tennis Channel on social media platform X—previously known as Twitter—where she revealed what present she will give to the likes of Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and fellow American Ben Shelton.

“A giant dish of paella ‘cause that’s what I know about Spain," said Navarro about giving present to the young Spaniard. “A lesson in gift wrapping ‘cause I heard he kind of stinks at it," she said while talking about giving a present to Shelton. The three participated recently in an exhibition event -- the Garden Cup.

Navarro is coming on the back of an impressive season. The 23-year-old played 77 matches in 2024, winning 53 and suffering defeat on 24 occasions. It was because of this reason she won the WTA Most Improved Player of the Year award. Interestingly, despite winning so many matches, Navarro only managed to win one title.

Her only title triumph in 2024 was the Hobart International, where she defeated Belgium’s Elise Mertens in the final with a score of 6-1, 4-6, 7-5. Navarro had a decent time while playing in the Grand Slams, and she managed to play in the quarterfinal or beyond in two out of four events. Her most impressive outing in a Grand Slam came while playing on home soil in the US Open, where her journey came to an end in the semifinal as she lost to the reigning world number one Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 7-6. Her last appearance in 2024 was in the Wuhan Open, where she was knocked out after losing in the round of 32 to Poland’s Magdalena Frech with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
