Ben Shelton falls, Carlos Alcaraz wins, audience dies laughing

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and America’s Ben Shelton were involved in a hilarious situation during the ongoing Garden Cup. Both players clashed in the competition, where the Spaniard came out on top with a score of 4-6, 6-2, 1-0.

During the contest, both players were involved in a hilarious situation when Shelton fell on the ground trying to win a point. Alcaraz came running in as if he was trying to help him but instead ended up beating him. There was all laughter at the end of the scene. After the match, the young Spaniard stated that his objective is to make tennis more enjoyable. “I’m trying to make the people enjoy watching tennis,” he said. “I hope the people enjoyed the match, and that’s what I try to do every time.”

Earlier in the day, America’s tennis star and 2024 US Open runner-up Jessica Pegula lost to fellow American Emma Navarro in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 7-5. “Just so special to be here playing in this arena,” said Navarro. “It’s insane. We came to the Knicks game last night, now they have a tennis court.”
