WTA stars take on Valentine’s Day trivia

WTA stars shine in Valentine's Day interview, with the participation of Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka answered an entertaining trivia regarding the day of love.

The first question asked whether they preferred celebrating Valentine’s Day or "Galentine’s Day"—a February 13th tradition that highlights female friendship as a key pillar of life, promoting mutual support and companionship. While not all players were familiar with the concept, Gauff, despite being in a relationship, said she would choose "Galentine’s Day" this time.

When asked about the ideal Valentine’s gift—chocolates or flowers—Sabalenka couldn't decide and said she’d prefer both. Meanwhile, Gauff revealed that her ideal gift would be a handmade craft, sharing that this year, she is crocheting her own present.

Sabalenka debuts bold new Nike outfit

Aryna Sabalenka shared a fun new promotional video for Nike, showcasing a striking two-piece neon yellow sports outfit.

This comes after the world No. 1 faced criticism in January over her Nike apparel at the Australian Open, with many considering the brand’s designs uninspired. A fan on X posted a screenshot from a Whoop video showing a chronological display of Sabalenka’s outfits at the event, which quickly went viral. The post sparked a wave of comments urging Nike to adopt a more creative approach to match Sabalenka’s commanding presence on the court.

Now, the neon yellow outfit from the latest video has also received criticism, with some fans arguing that Nike is not dedicating enough effort to designing high-quality attire for the Belarusian star. Many believe the outfit falls short of expectations for a Grand Slam-level event.

Eugenie Bouchard shares Pickleball Slam excitement with cheeky Roddick mention

Eugenie Bouchard posted a picture from Las Vegas, where she will compete in the Pickleball Slam, playfully calling out Andy Roddick to ask if he also showed up early for practice. Both have been among the tennis stars who swapped the court for pickleball and are now getting ready for another exhibition event together.

The Canadian, a Wimbledon 2014 finalist, retired from professional tennis in 2023 to transition to pickleball after dropping out of the tennis rankings— a decision that drew criticism from many of her fans.

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., boasting over 36 million players. It has attracted high-profile team owners, including Nick Kyrgios, Naomi Osaka, and LeBron James.

“In Vegas for @pickleballslam! Andy, you came early to practice too right? …right? @andyroddick.”

Caroline Wozniacki shares heartfelt Valentine’s Day post with family

Caroline Wozniacki posted a sweet photo with her family, accompanied by the message: "Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend! I am so grateful for the family we have built together and the love and laughter we share every day."

The professionally taken beachside photos capture a beautiful moment shared by all four family members. The Danish star has been married to former American basketball player David Lee since June 15, 2019. They have two children: Olivia, born in 2021, and James, born in 2022.

The former World No. 1 retired from tennis in 2020, during her marriage and after becoming a mother, citing that she was "tired of tennis" and struggling with multiple injuries. However, she made a comeback in 2023, returning to competition at the Canada Open and the US Open. Check out the photos below!

Mannarino names Marcelo Ríos as his childhood tennis inspiration

French tennis player Adrian Mannarino gave an insightful interview where he was asked about his favourite player. He admitted that while he had one as a child, he no longer has a favourite today. His childhood idol? None other than Chilean left-hander Marcelo Ríos—a player Mannarino admired for their shared playing style.

Among the various questions, one of the most notable was about his pre-match rituals. Mannarino explained that he doesn’t follow any specific rituals, as he doesn’t consider himself superstitious. Instead, he focuses on hydration and adjusting his racket tension.

Currently ranked World No. 17, Mannarino will compete this weekend at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Guadalajara, facing Norwegian star Casper Ruud at the Centro Panamericano de Tenis.
