Indian Wells 2025 Day Two will determine the second-round qualifiers on Thursday, March 6, in Tennis Paradise. Our preview highlights the key matches of the day after the ATP and WTA schedules were released.

Belinda Bencic, Nick Kyrgios, Emma Raducanu, Joao Fonseca, and Anna Kalinskaya will feature in the main stadium, with exciting matches also involving former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin and American young star Learner Tien.

Center Court

The first match on Stadium 1 features wildcard Joao Fonseca (No. 80), who started the year impressively but faced a painful first-round loss at his home tournament, the Rio Open, to Alexandre Muller. However, expectations remain high for the teenager as he faces Jacob Fearnley (No. 81) in the first round.

Later, 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu (No. 55) makes her return after a harrowing incident with a stalker in Dubai. The Brit will face Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima (No. 52) for the second time in her career after defeating her at the 2022 Seoul Open.

The third match will see wildcard Belinda Bencic, one of the most in-form players of 2025. She has an impressive 13-4 record this season and claimed her first title of the year at the Abu Dhabi Open. Her rapid return to top form after a year off due to maternity is remarkable. Currently ranked No. 58, a deep run in Tennis Paradise wouldn't be surprising. She faces Tatjana Maria (No. 87), a former Wimbledon semifinalist.

Night Session

Nick Kyrgios (No. 1099) returns to the US courts for the first time since his 2022 US Open quarterfinals appearance. After a two-year absence due to injuries, Kyrgios still faces wrist issues that could affect his debut at Indian Wells. His opponent is Botic van de Zandschulp (No. 85), and if he advances, he could face Novak Djokovic in the second round.

The final match of the night at Stadium 1 will feature American Alycia Parks (No. 61) against world No. 33 Anna Kalinskaya. The Russian failed to secure victories during the Middle East swing and suffered a significant drop in the rankings after not defending her Dubai final. The 26-year-old has a 3-5 record in 2025.
