Emma RADUCANU stuns Angelique KERBER in Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, set up clash with Linda NOSKOVA

Emma Raducanu defeated Angelique Kerber 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the round of 16 of the WTA 500 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The 21-year-old 2021 US Open champion replicated her excellent form from the recent Billie Jean King Cup, where she led the British team to victory over France on clay. Now, she will face the Czech teenage sensation Linda Noskova.

Right from the start of the match, Raducanu took control of the points and displayed great prowess in her returns. Kerber was far from her best level. Although she occasionally matched her opponent in rallies with her forehand, she made constant unforced errors and barely won one of her eight service games, including eight double faults. Ultimately, the match was decided with a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 victory for Raducanu, who adds another clay triumph to her record as she prepares to challenge the young star Linda Noskova.
