"It smells of weed" - Krejcikova follows Kyrgios in complaining about marijuana smell at US Open

Barbora Krejcikova followed Nick Kyrgios in complaining about marijuana smell at the US Open.

The Czech player was playing with Katerina Siniakova in the doubles semi-final when she smelt marijuana heading to umpire Kader Nouni to complain about it.

"It smells of weed" complained Krejcikova which prompted the umpire to gesture to spectators not to do it. Marijuana has been legal in the state of New York since 2016 for medical use and in 2021 for recreational use. The umpire did not issue a vocal warning opting for gestures instead.

it's the second time a player complained about it with Kyrgios making the complaint early in the event, during his second-round matchup.
