Mirra Andreeva soon turns 18 which means she can drink outside of the US and similarly get a tattoo and the latter is on her radar eventually she admitted at the Miami Open.

But Andreeva who spoke on Daria Kasatkina's What the Vlog YouTube series said that she wants it to be meaningful at least for her first otherwise she will get something random.

Andreeva brought the topic up while admiring Kasatkina's tattoo during changeover of their practice. The latter has hit headlines this week for changing nationalities over from Russia where Andreeva is the current number one now by some distance ahead of Diana Shnaider.

She now represents Australia and is their no.1 also by some distance ahead of the likes of Maya Joint, Daria Saville, Ajla Tomljanovic and Kimberley Birrell. Kasatkina has not returned to Russia since 2022 due to fears surrounding her views on the Russia-Ukraine war as well as her sexuality.

She has long lived in Spain and then Dubai which saw the Abu Dhabi Open make a blunder last month of saying she was Spanish. But in reality it ironically preempted the change. Andreeva who lost to Amanda Anisimova in Miami is a regular feature on Kasatkina's channel showcasing her humour. She is one of Daria's closest friends on tour.

"I am generally very honest and modest with myself. I don't like it here, too hot," said Andreeva on What the Vlog about the conditions in Miami.

"Do you have any new tattoos," she asked Kasatkina. "In development," replied the new Australian No.1.

"I don't know probably not yet. I have nothing to tattoo yet, otherwise I'll get some bulls**t and what should I do?

"You will never get bulls**t tattooed on you only something meaningful," replied Kasatkina. To which Andreeva said it is something she will wait for. "So I'm waiting for something meaningful if it ever appears of course."
