Emma Raducanu won't be able to play in the ATX Open Austin due to a new injury, and fans reacted to the tennis player's situation.

Since her remarkable feat winning the 2021 US Open, Raducanu hasn't quite convinced on the tour, and hasn't achieved the consistency that was expected of her.

The talented 20-year-old player has only played two tournaments this year, first the ASB Classic in Auckland, which she withdrew from in the round of 16 due to injury. Then her last appearance was at the Australian Open, where she lost in the second round against Coco Gauff.

This time, she withdrew from the ATX Open in Austin due to tonsillitis, so once again, she won't be able to compete due to physical condition issues. The tennis player released a statement that was shared on the official tournament account.

“I’m sorry to have to withdraw from the ATX Open. I am currently suffering from tonsillitis and am unable to compete this week. Thank you to the tournament for the great hospitality here in Austin."

Several fans reacted with sadness to the absence of the British player in the tournament, as she won't be able to compete before her participation in Indian Wells, where she is the second alternate to enter the main draw.

Here are some of the reactions from fans:
