Mirra Andreeva has proved to be a player wise upon her years and that includes in preparation too with the 17-year-old defeating Iga Swiatek on Friday to book a spot in the final against Aryna Sabalenka.
But Tennis Channel unearthed a secret to the Andreeva game plan. The young Russian who is coached by Conchita Martinez, a legendary former player and coach has notes on all of the players she faces.
As Bastien Fachan put it in his tweet on social media platform X, it reveals the names of every opponent she's 'cold-bloodedly' taken out so far. Flicking through it had the names of all opponents including Elena Rybakina who she thrashed.
As well as Clara Tauson, Varvara Gracheva and Iga Swiatek. No doubt she will be adding to the notebook before her landmark clash with Aryna Sabalenka. Often Andreeva has said that she struggles to take in coaching instruction so this is one way to do it as she was seen with page after page.
Also as was noted in what looked like a high school esque notebook with squares on the pages. It seems to be working so far for her as she aims for a second WTA 1000 title of the season on Sunday.
Obsessed with this shot of 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva flicking through the pages of her high-school-style notebook as the wind reveals the names of every opponent she's cold-bloodedly taken out in Indian Wells
