"You hate me now as you wanted this car so badly": Jelena Ostapenko makes light of Aryna Sabalenka's lack of Porsche after Stuttgart triumph

Jelena Ostapenko is the champion at the Stuttgart Open making light work of Aryna Sabalenka in the end 6-4, 6-1 as she claimed her first title of the year and in devastatingly good fashion. The Latvian seals a Porsche too which has long eluded Sabalenka.

It is now four finals and four losses for the World No.1 who joked that she has to go and buy one now and thankfully can afford to do so. But Ostapenko said that she is no doubt hated now for winning the final given the on-running narrative of Sabalenka's lack of Porsche.

Overall though it was an Ostapenko at her best. Smiling from ear to ear on court, playing some of her best tennis and truly a display where Sabalenka couldn't have done much more. Also showing that it wasn't a flash in the pan either for her to win against Iga Swiatek earlier this week and was in fact tournament winning form.

"Thank you so much for this atmosphere, it's amazing. I just love to play here," said Ostapenko on-court beaming ear to ear. "Congrats Aryna on a great week, I think you hate me now as you wanted this car so badly. But I'm sure you'll get it another time."

She then took her new wheels for a spin which caused hilarity last year as Elena Rybakina couldn't due to not being able to drive. But Ostapenko had no such an issue today.
