Australian tennis ace Nick Kyrgios was one of the few tennis stars who has spoken out publicly regarding the doping violations involving high-profile tennis stars recently, and the former World No.13 continued voicing his opinion with a fresh shot on social media.

It was announced that both Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek had failed doping tests earlier this year. While the ATP World No.1 was allowed to keep competing and avoided a ban, Swiatek was handed a one-month suspension that ended on December 4, 2024.

Kyrgios resumes taking shots at the pair

As the former Wimbledon runner-up continues his preparation for a return to the courts at the 2025 Australian Open, Kyrgios took to social media to update fans on his training sessions. However, the Canberra native also made a tongue-in-cheek reference to Swiatek and Sinner, both of whom are at the center of separate doping controversies.

"Feels good getting these consecutive days training in the bank man," wrote Kyrgios on Twitter. "Wrist reconstruction and back out here ... without failing any drug tests.
"Be proud Kygs doing it the right way."

This is not the first time Kyrgios has spoken out regarding the punishment received by Sinner and Swiatek. The 29-year old stated the sport was "cooked" following the news regarding the Polish star's ban, and was upset International Tennis Integrity Agency had accepted her explanation.

"The excuse that we can all use is that we didn't know," said Kyrgios. "Simply didn't know. Professionals at the highest level of sport can now just say 'we didn't know'."
