Taylor Fritz has already asked Elena Rybakina for US Open mixed doubles partnership after Eisenhower Cup win

Fribakina could have more than one outing with Elena Rybakina being asked by Taylor Fritz already if she would partner him at the US Open.

They joined forces for the Eisenhower Cup in a winning effort. Not bad for a team who were together for the first time. Especially given that others who were involved such as Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur are couples. As well as Emma Navarro and Ben Shelton who have won the title before and are pretty adept to teaming together.

A thrown together team at the last minute due to withdrawals, they thrived with their respective power games showing through at the Indian Wells pre-cursor. If it happens which Fritz said depends on her team and their wishes, they would be the second highest profile pairing to already commit.

"Yeah, I thought she played great last night. She did everything that I would, I guess, everything I could ask of a mixed doubles partner. I think it's a good fit," said Fritz.

"Yeah, I asked her to play because I was looking for a US Open mixed partner, and she said that she wants to. She just has to check, I guess, with her team and everything. Hopefully it gets cleared (smiling).”

Stefanos Tsitsipas has already confirmed that he plans to play with long-time girlfriend Paula Badosa. No doubt Boulter and De Minaur in time will also add to the power couple stakes.

Whether Anna Kalinskaya and Jannik Sinner do remains to be seen but Tsitsipas and Badosa in particular has been a back and forth over the years with the Spaniard wanting him to play mixed doubles. But he has often snubbed it. They won Mixed Madness last year though at the US Open.

They did not team together at the Eisenhower Cup due to Badosa's back injury meaning that Anisimova and Medvedev formed a partnership. But could Fritz and Rybakina use that initial success as fuel for a mixed doubles masterclass at Flushing Meadows?
