Former World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and 2024 US Open runner-up Jessica Pegula were asked to put down their tennis rackets and test their skills at a different activity, gift wrapping.
With the festive season upon us, the duo participated in a special gift wrapping challenge. Both players were presented with some boxes, tape and wrapping paper and asked to showcase their skills.
The reigning Wimbledon champion proved his skillset is lacking when it comes to wrapping gifts, as he found the task a bit too difficult. Conversely, Pegula showed off her ability as she wrapped up gifts with speed and precision.
"This one isn't showing my true colors, I'd have to repair," said the former World No.2 after the second package she wrapped wasn't up to her standard.
When asked which player of the four participants in the challenge would be the best gift-wrapper, American Emma Navarro, compatriot Ben Shelton and Alcaraz all selected Pegula.
"I mean, to be honest, I probably would have picked myself..." Pegula said with a laugh.
