Aryna Sabalenka as ever was on top form both on the court and during her post match interview on court as she sealed the Miami Open on Saturday night. She defeated Jessica Pegula 7-5, 6-2.

In particular Sabalenka who has now won three finals on the spin against the American including the US Open praised her and said that she would share the points with her if she could.

Sabalenka lost crushingly to Mirra Andreeva at Indian Wells but the World No.1 is a player to never count out and she proved that again as she often returns with an even larger win when she does win another title.

"First of all Jess I'm so sorry for real. If I could share the trophy with someone, trophy, prize money, points. I'd share it with you. I'm sorry for that but you're an incredible player, you always push me so hard to play my best. Congrats to you and your team for an incredible couple of weeks. I always enjoy playing against you, it's always a great battle. Great level of tennis. Continue doing what you're doing and I'm sure we're going to play plenty more finals," said Sabalenka on court as per Tennis Channel.

"I'm not sure about the result because honestly don't want to lose in the finals, it sucks. You're an incredible person and player."

As ever a theme of her interviews are mainly banter with her team as again she showed love to those involved including her coaches and boyfriend with her usual trademark jokes which also included one aimed at the weather. This as the Miami Open rain has halted the last few days at times.

"I don't remember the names of those guys, so I'll just say thank you team," she joked. "You're not my team, you're my family. We spend 24/7 together unfortunately but I love you so much. I'm not an easy person but I also try to do my best. I love you guys. Thank you my boyfriend I love you so much."

"Thankfully the rain stopped. It felt like Miami was crying that I won this tournament. I'm glad it's not raining so I can talk a little bit."
