WTA Prize Money Leaders Update: Madison Keys holds top spot, Mirra Andreeva surprisingly fifth despite hot streak

Madison Keys remains at the top of the WTA Prize Money Leaders after the conclusion of Indian Wells. The Australian Open champion has had an impeccable year and still maintains a lead over her closest rivals. Interestingly, Mirra Andreeva — champion of 2 out of 3 WTA 1000 tournaments this season — only reached fifth place.

The American world No. 5 put together a 15-match winning streak and has two titles under her belt at the Australian Open and Brisbane International, along with a semi-final run at Indian Wells. This makes her the only player to surpass $2 million, reaching nearly $2.4 million in earnings.

Iga Swiatek holds onto second place despite not lifting a trophy this season, trailing Keys by over $800,000. Nevertheless, she’s the only other player, apart from Keys, to surpass $1.5 million in prize money. Behind them are Aryna Sabalenka ($1.4 million) and Coco Gauff ($1.3 million).

The most surprising position is that of Mirra Andreeva, who is riding a 12-match winning streak and claimed the last two WTA 1000 titles at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and Indian Wells. However, her early exit in the fourth round of the Australian Open — the highest-paying tournament so far this year — created a significant gap between her and the top earners. She has amassed $1.1 million in singles, further boosted by $143,000 from her doubles performances.

The last player to exceed $1 million is Elena Rybakina. Despite not winning any titles, she’s made consistent deep runs and holds a 15-6 record this season. The former Wimbledon champion has reached three semi-finals this year — including the United Cup, which offered substantial prize money — but is still chasing her first final of the season.

Other notable names in the top 10 include Paula Badosa, Amanda Anisimova — champion at the WTA 1000 Qatar Open — Karolina Muchova, and Jelena Ostapenko, all with earnings surpassing $700,000. Check out the current WTA prize money leaders below.
