Entry List 2024 Guadalajara Open Akron headlined by Sakkari, Collins, Qinwen Zheng, Ostapenko, Navarro and Kalinskaya

The 2024 Guadalajara Open Akron will take place following the conclusion of the US Open, with several WTA superstars moving to nearby Guadalajara, Mexico from September 9-15, 2024 for the popular tournament.

A WTA 500 event, the Guadalajara Open Akron was conceived in 2022 after the Covid pandemic. American Jessica Pegula won the inaugural version, with Greece's Maria Sakkari prevailing at last year's event.

After making her maiden Grand Slam final at the 2024 Australian Open, Zheng Qinwen broke into the top 10 of the WTA rankings. The Chinese superstar shocked the world by winning gold at the Olympic Games in Paris, and has racked up some notable wins this year including a semifinal win over World No.1 Iga Swiatek in Paris.

American Danielle Collins, who announced she will be retiring at the end of the season, will get the opportunity to say goodbye to her Mexican fans at the event. The 30-year old will be joined by compatriot Emma Navarro, alongside former Grand Slam champions Jelena Ostapenko, Victoria Azarenka and Sloane Stephens. Below is the preliminary list of entrants.
