Elina Svitolina reaches 350 weeks as a top-20 player since first breaking into the world No. 19 spot in 2015 at just 21 years old. Since then, the Ukrainian has established herself as a mainstay on the Tour and one of the dominant figures of the past decade.
Svitolina remained inside the top 20 uninterrupted from 2016 to 2022, only dropping in the rankings when she paused her career for maternity leave in 2022. Upon her return in 2023, she rapidly climbed from world No. 1344 to the top 25 in just a few months.
She reached her career-high ranking of world No. 3 in 2017 and stayed in the top 10 for a total of 218 weeks, with her last appearance among the elite coming at the end of 2021.
Svitolina has reached three Grand Slam semifinals—including Wimbledon 2023 just months after her comeback—and has made nine other major quarterfinals, three of which came after her maternity break.
Her biggest achievements include winning the 2018 WTA Finals and claiming four WTA 1000 titles, with back-to-back triumphs at the Italian Open in 2017 and 2018, defeating world No. 1 Simona Halep on both occasions. In total, she has won 17 titles and finished runner-up in four finals, along with securing the bronze medal at the 2021 Olympic Games, where she denied Elena Rybakina a podium finish.
Svitolina's best winning streak came in 2017 when she won 15 consecutive matches, securing the Taiwan Open title, adding two Fed Cup victories, and lifting the Dubai Tennis Championships trophy before falling in the Indian Wells fourth round to Garbiñe Muguruza.
Additionally, the 29-year-old boasts a strong 41-42 record against top-10 players, including seven wins over the world No. 1 at the time of the match. Svitolina continues to add remarkable milestones to an illustrious career spanning the past decade, currently holding a 495-264 win-loss record.
